Business Thought Leadership (BTL) Sessions

Industry leaders from a variety of areas and backgrounds visit our campus for interactive sessions to share their insightful ideas with our students. These classes give students a good foundation for understanding current business trends and preparing them for the challenging path ahead. Sessions like these might also serve as a platform for a preliminary student screening process using different gamification and simulation rounds. These enlightening events are done all year round to keep people informed and connected to business and new advancements.

Live Projects

Students work on projects in real time with corporations. using their theoretical understanding and classroom learning in the workplace. By using a practical approach, instructors may help students develop to their full potential while also assisting businesses in identifying and understanding the college’s talent pool. Therefore, one of the greatest and most interactive ways to promote holistic development is by giving people the chance to experience real-time exposure in commercial organisations.

Guest Lectures

The educational strategy at IMI Kolkata includes guest lectures on a regular basis. Currently, corporate firms in India are looking for people with quick learning and comprehension skills. Academics and eminent individuals from a range of business sectors are asked to contribute their wealth of knowledge and insightful perspectives on current  business concerns. Through these lessons, students can learn about corporate culture and how to handle various business scenarios. The primary goal is to inform pupils of their various job alternatives through interactions with business people. The Guest Lecture Sessions at IMI Kolkata are planned in accordance with the demanding curriculum and work well as a teaching tool.

Industry Visits

The day-long field visits that are conducted to various organizations such as Spencer’s Retail Ltd. (Collection Centre and Distribution Centre), PCBL, Jayashree Textiles (Aditya Birla Group), Too Yumm, Century Ply Limited etc., give the students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the ground-level practices. It provides them with a better understanding of the dynamics of the work place and also serves as a platform to interact with the managers and executives from the respective companies.
