IMI-Kolkata celebrated its 1st Annual Founder’s Day on 8th August, 2012.
The auspicious day was unfurled with an interaction session between parents, faculty members, students and the management. Post interaction, a brief history of the Institute was orated by Devleena Nath, student IMI-Kolkata. This was followed by lighting of the lamp by Prof. Ahindra Chakrabarti, Director IMI-Kolkata, Mr. Subhasis Mitra, Executive Director & Group Company Secretary, RP-SG Group and parents.
Once the lamp was lit, a trio of students sang the Ganesh Vandana in a prayerful manner which created a serene ambience. The Director then along with students, faculty members and others cut a cake thus marking the day open.
The spirit of the day was enjoyed by students, parents, faculty members and everyone around as the students had a series of events lined up.
