19 executives of PHILLIPS CARBON BLACK LIMITED from different areas of expertise have successfully completed the One-Year Programme in General Management. The first Graduation Ceremony was held on 11th May, 2018 where all the participants were awarded with certificates.

The Graduation Ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. Kaushik Roy, Managing Director, Phillips Carbon Black Limited, Mr.R.K.Jha, President-Corporate, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, Professor. Arindam Banik, Director IMI Kolkata, Mr.Sabyasachi Bhattacharya, Chief–HR & IT and Professor. Sarojakshya Chatterjee, Dean-MDP & EDP, IMI Kolkata.

In his inaugural speech Professor. Banik congratulated the executives and he mentioned that “the executives are brilliant and they will give good signals for the growth module of the organization”.

In his Keynote Address Mr. Roy spoke about how comfortable and confident he is that the organization in the long term will be in very good hands. He also spoke about the competition in the present corporate world and the ways in which an individual can survive and achieve his/her goal by keeping a striking balance between mind and heart. He congratulated the 19 participants and advised them to never stop learning new things and that self-grooming is the key always.

The certificates were presented by Mr.R.K.Jha, Mr. Kaushik Roy and Professor.Banik. The Top Three Certificates for meritorious students were given out to Ms. Neha Kamboj who received the 1st Rank for obtaining the highest CGPA, followed by Mr. Sumit Sinha and Mr. Siddhardha Seetala.

Ms. Neha Kamboj, Mr.Abhisek Singh, Mr. Raj Debojyoti Mitra and Ms.Nainee Shrivastava shared their Gratitude to their Company and IMI-Kolkata for providing them with this learning opportunity.

Professor. Chatterjee quoted “I will like to compliment the participants for their perseverance as striking a balance between studies and work was a daunting task. This is a special day in their lives as they graduate today and are ready to take on new challenges. I congratulate each one of them”

Mr. Bhattacharya handed over the token of appreciation and in his vote of thanks he congratulated IMI-Kolkata faculty to help them carefully craft the course to enhance the learning and experiential component of the programme. He was positive that the participants would apply their learnings to real-life situations.
