A panel discussion entitled, ” Way forward for Education Sector in Eastern Region: Challenges and Recommendations”, was held at Hotel Taj Bengal , Kolkata organised by Indian Chamber of Commerce on July 22, 2017. Mr Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of HRD, GoI was the Chief Guest in the opening session. Panellists were, Professor Partha P. Chakrabarti, Director, IIT-Kharagpur, Professor Biju Paul Abraham, Dean ( Academics) IIM Kolkata, Professor Arindam Banik , IMI Kolkata, Professor Sreeparna Banerjee, HoD, Industrial Engineering Department, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and Professor A S Kolaskar, Vice Chancellor, The Neotia University.The session was moderated by Professor N R Banerjea, former Vice Chancellor, Bengal Engineering and Science University.
