International Management Institute Kolkata successfully organised a three day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Applied Econometrics with Software Applications during March 4-6 ,2020 at its campus.

The programme was aimed at research scholars, faculty members, doctoral students as well as business professionals in the area of economics, finance and commerce. It was mentored by Professor Paramita Mukherjee, Dean (Academics).

Professor Arindam Banik, Director, IMI Kolkata, welcomed the participants and has spoken about the importance of such programmes in academic and business research.Professor Paramita Mukherjee, Dean (Academics) mentioned that this is the first time IMI Kolkata has organized an FDP on Econometrics. The hands on programme with applications with softwares like E-views and SPSS, found enthusiast participants from both academics and industry.Professor Sarojakshya Chatterjee, Dean, MDP and EDP, IMI Kolkata iterated the significance of such hands-on intensive programmes in making of an effective researcher and teacher.

The programme saw participation from research scholars, faculty members and industry personnel from institutes/organisations within and outside west Bengal.
